BY KEVIN SAWYER – A German company, Vitronic, has created a traffic speed camera that seems likely indestructible. Not only has it been built to resist crashes but it has been further designed to be bullet proof. It has a polygon design and is known as the Enforcement Trailer.

It has bullet proof glass and an outside shell composed of armor similar to that used in military vehicles and armored trucks. It has a motion sensing alarm system and a high speed camera that can get the license plates of swiftly moving vehicles. In addition, it has speed enhanced radar technology and the alarm system alerts security people when it is trying to be tampered with or damaged.

The machine also has a trailer hitch and wheels for mobility and the machines will get their immediate tryout on British roads. According to the manufacturer, the machine has the capability of tracking and ticketing 2,500 people a day as soon as they cross over the posted speed limits. Even if it is only by one mile per hour.

In addition to England and its native Germany, the company recently sold 250 of the the machines to France. It can be handled and maintained by one person and can be set up and operational within a half hour. Currently, there are no plans yet to deploy the machines in the United States of America.
