BY KEVIN SAWYER – A company in Ankara, Turkey has actually invented an actual Transformer vehicle based on the popular toys. The company, Letvision, introduced a Transformer vehicle to the public this week. The robot vehicle has been dubbed Antimon and it is a BMW M3 painted in a brilliant red.
The official name for the vehicles are Letrons because the company doesn’t want any copyright problems. The vehicle can move its head and arms by remote control and the company is presently seeking more funding so that they can build the technology that will enable the robot vehicles to walk.
The remote control technology is currently housed in the drivers side seat but the company hopes to move it to the passenger side of the BMW in the future so that the vehicle can actually be driven by a person. the company has so far produced five of the Letrons and it took eight months for 12 engineers and 4 special technicians to create and build them.
